Our primary goal is to facilitate the transfer of privately held documents and photographs into public collections, ensuring that these valuable items are preserved in appropriate institutions and have a greater chance of surviving for future generations. For those who prefer to keep their ancestors\u2019 relics in their homes, we offer to create secure digital copies. With proper permissions, and in accordance with the owner\u2019s wishes, these can be shared with the public, made accessible for historical research, or simply archived for long-term preservation.<\/p>

We consider it an urgent mission to locate and safeguard materials that were taken abroad by Hungarian \u00e9migr\u00e9s\u2014collections that are especially at risk. Many descendants no longer speak Hungarian and may not recognize the value of a document inherited from an unknown ancestor from Hungary. Establishing contact and gaining access to such materials often presents challenges, but returning these documents and artifacts to Hungary is an undeniable national interest.<\/p>

We also pay close attention to Hungarian-related archival materials located outside Hungary\u2019s current borders. Researchers often face overwhelming bureaucratic barriers when trying to access these collections. Additionally, we are deeply committed to documenting our built heritage. In some cases, historical photographs are the only remaining evidence of a once-grand estate, and recording the current state of a building can provide essential documentation for future restoration efforts.<\/p>

Another key area of our work involves organizing exhibitions and publishing high-quality books and publications. These efforts often commemorate a lesser-known region, a forgotten county, or a once-prominent family or community that has faded from memory.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Hungarian Heritage Archives Foundation was established in 2024 by Dr. Csan\u00e1d Kandik\u00f3, with its headquarters located in Nagyv\u00e1zsony, Hungary.
